Overview
CX-N series cloud switches are next generation
high-performance, high-density, low-latency
ethernet switches for cloud data center. Based
on advanced hardware architecture, CX-N
switches provide high-density 25GE/40GE/100GE/
200GE/400GE ports in compact box design and
integrate rich data center features. Users can use
CX-N series cloud switches to build elastic, virtual,
and high-quality data center networks, meeting
the network requirements of data centers in the
cloud computing era.
CX-N series cloud switches are ideal for spine and
leaf layers of CLOS networks, helping enterprises
and operators to build data center network
platforms for the cloud computing era, and can
also be used as core or aggregation of campus
networks.
Highlights
◼ Port-to-port forwarding latency as low as
400ns
◼ Compact 1RU/2RU fixed units, high port
density with multi-speed combination
◼ Supports comprehensive data center
features such as MC-LAG, EVPN, VXLAN
◼ Supports advanced QoS/traffic management
features such as DCB, RoCEv2, QCN
◼ Supports INT (In-band Network Telemetry)
function, providing data information such as
timestamp and latency
◼ Enterprise AsterNOS based on SONiC, which
improves the usability of the system
Product Applications
◼ Private cloud network
◼ Public cloud network
◼ High performance computing
◼ Distributed storage
◼ Machine learning
Hardware Features Highlights
◼ Proven Marvell ultra-low latency ASIC chips
◼ Maximum 12.8Tbps switching capacity with
L2/L3 full wire speed forwarding
◼ Less SKUs to cover more scenarios: with
single CX664D-N model, 200GE ports can be
used to be compatible with 100GE server
ports or to interconnect with each other. 1:1
oversubscription ratio CLOS network can be
built to hold maximum 86k+ 100G access
ports capacity
◼ Interfaces are compatible with multiple rates
and support breakout
◼ Support power and fan redundancy to
ensure continuous business operation
◼ Air flows in from the front panel, and
exhausts from the rear panel
Operating System Highlights

QoS policies and other services
◼ Advanced functional containerized & eventdriven system architecture to accelerate
network service development/customization
◼ Provides an open REST API interface that can
be centrally managed and invoked by thirdparty applications such as cloud
management platform
◼ Provides KLISH command line for traditional
network engineers
Automated O&M
◼ Provides Asteria Fabric Controller (AFC) SDN
cloud network controller to automate device
management and operation and
maintenance
◼ Integrated with Python and Ansible to
support automated operation and
maintenance
◼ Supports ZTP which enables devices to
automatically obtain and load deployment
